Apparently, there’s a trend in WordPress land: endlessly long blog posts.
Honestly, they put me off sometimes depending on the topic. No matter how interesting your blog post may be, I just sometimes can’t deal with it, for several reasons:
- I’m pretty busy and short on time.
- I don’t like filler, fluff, or too much blah-blah.
- I seriously love hands-on, practical stuff. Straight to the point.
So my blog is exactly what I would want to read myself. Something simple and not over-analyzed. Something a bit funny, something that lightly breaks up the day. Something that gives you a different perspective without forcing it.
On top of that, many of my blog posts will be aimed at high performers, such as WooCommerce Core leaders and plugin builders.
And I respect their time.
By keeping it short wherever i can do it, I have a better chance that they’ll actually pick up my ideas.
I also respect my own time. I protect myself from spending too much time on this. I know myself. I can get lost in certain tasks. And before you know it, two hours have passed.
As long as I respect my maximum of 300 words, I’ll be fine.
